Japanese Floral Arrangement (Ikebana)

Sareh Abri became a Sensei during her time in Japan, and in this workshop she’ll introduce the beauty and philosophy of Japanese flower arrangement through a hands-on approach to Ikebana.

We begin with a demonstration of the Basic Slanting Style, exploring essential principles such as line, balance, asymmetry, space and harmony. You’ll learn practical techniques for selecting, trimming and positioning flowers and branches, followed by time to create your own arrangement at your own rhythm.

It’s a relaxing and creative practice that encourages you to slow down, observe nature differently and develop your own artistic expression.
